History

The establishment of the Master's Program in Educational Administration at the University of Muhammadiyah Kendari (UM Kendari) is the result of the decision of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia with letter number 4248/E1/HK.03.00/2022, granting permission to open the educational administration program at UM Kendari. This program is structurally under the Faculty of Education (FKIP) at UM Kendari, serving as the managing unit. Since the fall semester of 2023, the program has welcomed new students with a faculty comprising Dr. Abubakar, M.Pd, Dr. Rasid, M.Pd, Dr. Adam, M.Pd, Dr. Lilianti, S.Pd., M.Pd, and Dr. Nasir, SPd., MPd, serving as the coordinator of the program.

The curriculum of the Master's Program in Educational Administration at UM Kendari is designed in accordance with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the National Education Standards set by the Ministry of Education, comprising 46 courses (36 mandatory and 10 elective courses). The curriculum focuses on providing an in-depth understanding of educational administration. It is anticipated that graduates of this program will become professional and morally upright school principals, education supervisors adaptive to contemporary developments, competitive school teachers, and productive researchers. Thus, the aim of the Master's Program in Educational Administration at UM Kendari is to produce human resources ready to face the complex challenges of the educational world.
